Viví Letsou grew up in Greece but lived in California for the last 22 years.

A filmmaker by profession, Vivi found in Yoga and Zen practice a way to cope with her very stressful life. She has studied many types of Yoga and meditation for the last 20 years. She has had the opportunity to study with master teachers from the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Hatha Yoga traditions. Her style is based on Ashtanga Yoga (which was the origin of Power Yoga) with emphasis on breath and awareness of our own body. She believes that each class should be a pleasant experience and a journey that brings us closer to a happy and balanced state of being.

She completed her Yoga teacher training with senior Ashtanga teacher, Tim Miller, in San Diego, California. Tim Miller was the first certified teacher of Ashtanga Yoga in United States. Vivi also completed her Pilates Mat certification from the Physical Mind Institute of New York.

Her earlier endeavors include engineering studies, post-graduate studies in theater and film, and a career in directing - producing plays and films. She also worked for the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Telluride Film Festival. To take a look at her filmwork, please check out: www.skeletonwoman.com and www.hiddeninplainsight.org.

In the 80’s and early 90’s Vivi directed a center for dance and music classes from around the world in San Jose, California. It was called KINISI Worldancecenter. There she invited renowned Yoga teachers to lead classes and seminars, and that’s where her own journey with yoga started.

Educated in economics and accounting, he has had a long career in Silicon Valley, California, working for high-tech firms in accounting, marketing, and software sales, until he decided to take a more creative and meaningful life-path.

He received his acupressure and shiatsu certification from the Acupressure Institute of Berkeley and trained with Shiatsu master teacher, Kathy Kapps. He enjoys giving both Shiatsu and Chinese massage treatments (Tui Na) and is excited about starting this new venture in Greece.  For the past few years, Eraj has also been practicing many styles of yoga such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara and Jivamukti.  He completed his first level teacher's program, Bhakhti Urban Flow, with Rusty Wells in 2006.

Dimitra Halkiadaki:

Dimitra studied photography in England where she first tried yoga and was deeply moved by it. It came to her as a natural path. Returning to Greece in 2002, she continued with her Ashtanga practice and in 2004 she became the first student of NYSY Studios, practicing privately with her teacher Vivi Letsou.

In January of 2006 Dimitra traveled to India to follow the Sivananda Teacher Training program in Kerala. After one month in India, she returned back to Athens and completed an additional 200 hour Hatha teacher training program with Vivi Letsou and a 50 hour intensive Bhakti Uban Flow with master teacher Rusty Wells. Along with her passion for yoga, Dimitra, also trained in Pilates;  finding it to be a very helpful and complementary practice. Having been trained as a teacher with the well known pilates teacher and author, Ellie Herman, she followed several workshops for teachers, including physiotherapy and anatomy with Yiannis Ntadis.  She regularly teaches mat and equipment classes and private sessions at NYSY studios.

Dimitra feels blessed by following a path that teaches her new things every day and loves to share this knowledge with people of all ages.  She is a compassionate, lively, and dynamic teacher.

Gigi Krueger:

Gigi grew up in Germany and moved to New York at age nineteen to join a pro-beach volleyball team.  Training most of her life as a competition athlete in beach volleyball, she entered the field of sports therapy becoming a massage therapist for athletes.  From an early age she was drawn towards metaphysics, so when she was introduced to yoga in 1994 she found it to be her natural path.  Even though she was still competing full-time, she devoted all of her free time to the practice of yoga.  She had the good fortune of meeting her main yoga teacher Eric Schiffman in 1996, and of completing his yoga teacher training course.  Having taught yoga to actors, musicians, and star-athletes around the world, Gigi is now delighted to be teaching in Greece.  She teaches with joy, compassion, and great vibrancy. Her classes are dynamic, thorough, and up-tempo. Currently she also teaches yoga to the Australian Olympic beach volleyball team, in preparation for the 2008 Olympics. She continues her work with massage therapy, as she considers it an indispensable tool for tension release and rehabilitation.

Alexander Stavrinos:

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Alexander from his early teen years was interested in the more spiritual and “esoteric” matters of life.

He has been traveling extensively throughout Africa and Asia and has always been interested in the healing traditions of these cultures. After some years of job-hopping in different areas of employment he decided to change his lifestyle towards a more spiritual path. Suffering himself from a cervical spine syndrome he found that an alternative method may help him. He discovered that Traditional Thai Massage or Thai Yoga Massage is not only a very deep and powerful form of healing for him, but also a spiritual path. He felt that his calling was to share his knowledge with as many people as he could.

Alexander has studied  Thai Massage with  master teacher Asokananda of Sunshine Institute and Reiki with Eleni Skondra. He now incorporates the two in every session creating an even more dynamic and powerful experience.

Alexander had also been practicing Vipasana meditation for some years now.
