«Practice, Practice, Practice…»
is the advice we get from our teachers and all the dedicated athletes and yoga practitioners.
Even if you miss a day at the studio, practice for a few minutes at home or wherever you happen to be. Make a little time for your practice.

3) Let’s add Aerobic Exercise, ή
to our routine: Zumba at NYSY, or join Denis for a weekend of Athletic Outdoor Acivities: Cross-fit on the beach or canoe-cayak. Call NYSY reception for more information and pricing.

4) Detox: This is the perfect season to cleanse our bodies.
Follow detox recipes that you will find on the internet or special books. Try the great green juices at Avocado Cafe, and taste a delicious detox menu that will leave you feeling energized and healthy. Fast or follow a healthy diet.

5) Healthy Diet and Weight loss: Decide what and how much you want to loose in these 30 days. Most of us can spare a few extra pounds, say the doctors, and our Yoga teachers propose that we can reduce our food intake and still feel great and light.
Along with your fast or healthy diet program, it is important to watch the way we eat: let us try to eat joyful, serene, and pleasant atmosphere. Our food should be freshly cooked and we should take it in a mindful way.

6) Give up something unhealthy
(sugar, meat, smoking, alcohol, chocolate, coffee, etc.)

7) Take up something good
(reading inspirational books, speaking kindly, drinking more water, chanting...).

8) Start thinking in a brighter, more positive and optimistic way.
Overcome an internal difficulty by thinking in a more positive way. Get over your internal nagging and anger. Give this to yourself: in 30 days you can overcome a deep internal block by accepting it, making room for it, and starting to breathe fresh air around it.

9) Meditate daily. Make space for a few quiet minutes in your life away from electronics, internet, phone, TV, even music. A few quiet minutes will be enough to connect with the our inner consciousness and feel the tranquility and spaciousness of our true Self.

Keep a journal daily.
Write down your thoughts, observations, feelings, body condition. Start with writing down about your goal for these 30 Days, and then let your pen go, allowing whatever inspiration comes up to express itself. Give yourself the freedom and the opportunity to just be spontaneous.
